At first, I came here with full of expectations because I heard that this center was the only one institution which was situated in the university.
Now I am satisfied with the system of this center. The “man to man class” casted away my fears of speaking English and it helped me gained confidence.
And I am able to share the culture with other students from other countries like Japan in group class, even if our speaking skill and pronunciation skill are not so good.
However, I cannot say that this kind of class is a perfect one. At first time there was one problem for me in the “Man to Man Class”. That was that the teacher didn’t match to me. The teacher was good but it couldn’t help that each person has each personality and sometimes it happened despite our effort. For a few days, I didn’t tell anyone about that because I was afraid of having uncomfortable relationship with the teacher after I complains are being brought to the attention of the Student Facilitator. But the dormitory manager solved this problem with sincere attitude. He talked with the Student Facilitator and got the side of the teacher and resolved the situation. After that I could change the teacher with happy way for both the teacher and me. Although I experienced uncomfortable feeling once, I think my English speaking skills marked a milestone after several adjustments.
I think that this experience was a chance to improve my English sparking skill and change my life as well. I want to enjoy my life through this after returning to Korea.
